Top Ten Tuesday 9/27/16: Books on my Fall TBR!

Top Ten Tuesday was originally started by The Broke And The Bookish, where a topic is given every Tuesday and the blogger then produces a top ten list of books to fit the weekly subject. The topic this week is Top Ten Audio Freebie so, due to my recent obsession, I have chosen ‘Top Ten Books on my Fall TBR!‘ so here they are!:

So what is on your TBR for this fall? Leave me a comment down below! 😀

Sectional Saturdays #8 So hey, I’m not dead!

Sooo…

I have been off and on for months. Almost a year.

giphy

A lot has happened in a year. A lot.

I actually… have only read 2-3 books since then.

tumblr_nc4piov8x91tfbtrwo1_400

I KNOW, I KNOW. >____<;

But, something just… blocked me. I’ve been trying to read, and while I have gotten some done…

I just can’t focus.

giphy1

But it’s not all bad.

I actually have started some self improvements.

I’m in therapy for one.

giphy2

And it hopefully will help me better myself.

I have also made some really great friends. I see these friendships lasting for a very very long time. They have kept me whole while others try to break me even further.

I will have to give thought to what I want to do with my blog, I still want to do book reviews, but it might not just be it. ^^;

Anyways, I think I might be going for now, I’ve been very distracted in writing this and I don’t want to leave it as a draft. X_X

Stacking the Shelves is what we have added to our bookshelves in couple of weeks. Stacking the Shelves is bought to you by Tynga from Tynga’s Reviews. Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Oh lord. It’s been FOREVER since I did one of these.

Wait for you by J. Lynn

Title:  Wait for You

Author: J. Lynn (Pen name for Jennifer L. Armentrout)

Series:  Yes; Wait for you Series

Format: 1st Edition Signed Paperback

Page Count:  360 Pages

Publisher: William Morrow Paperbacks

Age Range: 17+

Genre: New Adult Contemporary

Description on Goodreads:

Some things are worth waiting for.

Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago–an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe–please God–make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn’t need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she’s building for herself.

Some things are worth experiencing.

Cameron Hamilton is six feet and three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make her want things she believed were irrevocably stolen from her. She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is freaking everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple that’s just so… so lickable. Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring the simmering tension that sparks whenever they are around each other becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed.

Some things should never be kept quiet.

But when Avery starts receiving threatening emails and phone calls forcing her to face a past she wants silenced, she’s has no other choice but to acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. When the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface this time with one less scar? And can Cam be there to help her or will he be dragged down with her?

And some things are worth fighting for.

Review:

I’m not gonna lie. It took me a year to read this book. I kept picking it up, putting it down, picking it back up again, loving it, setting it down, etc etc. I didn’t finish this book until a few weeks ago.

And I regret not finishing it immediately.

I fell in love with the characters almost instantly when I first started, but because of life, I never really gave it the time it deserved. I never took the time to really get to know them, get the gentle flow of J. Lynn’s writing.. Until I got sick at my husbands family reunion.

Avery is a bit like me.. Quiet, reserved, shy, and a hell of a lot of trust issues. And she has her reasons. I really identified with this book for many reasons. I highly suggest it.

I really like the open ending with it, and hope as I pursue the series, I get to see a conclusion.

My Rating: 5/5

Would I/Who would I recommend it (too): People who love contemporary, people who love a light smut, people who have anxiety issues.

Why I have been gone.

So… as some have you may have noticed…

I have been gone for over a month, and was spotty since…

Well, two months ago.

Because of medical reasons, and trying to get things sorted out, I really haven’t had the time or energy to read, let alone blog. Any down time I have had was spent worrying, sleeping or trying to forget what is happening. I have had a lot happen in the last two months, that is still ongoing. I won’t be coming back at full force, but I will be ASAP.

I plan on making posts at random, but I won’t up and dissappear. I miss doing this and I miss you all.

Please forgive me for being so lacking?
